The APQI Steering Committee is the representative body of the community and is responsible for soliciting and communicating updates, planning webinars and conferences, and other important business. The Steering Committee is also responsible for oversight of the group’s finances including approving disbursements and setting annual dues. More information about APQI and the Steering Committee is available in the APQI Charter.

It is expected that Steering Committee members will be active in helping to further establish and strategically expand APQI’s impact on medical education and accreditation.

ü Focused CV (max. 2 pages)
ü Brief statement outlining qualifications and interest in joining the Steering Committee

Election Process and Timeline
The APQI elections will be conducted using a slate election process. The Nominations Committee will evaluate each nominee based on their qualifications for the position and will forward the top-ranked candidates for each position along with documentation of the selection process to the Steering Committee for review. The slate of nominees will be voted on by the full membership. Slate elections simplify the voting process and reduce the likelihood of internal competition, particularly within a smaller organization.
The 2025 APQI election will take place in October, with the transfer of leadership formally taking place at the November APQI meeting at AAMC’s Learn Serve Lead in San Antonio, TX. Elected candidates are not required to be in attendance at the meeting.
For any questions or additional information, please contact Tanya Biscardi, Chair of the Nominations Committee at biscardi@buffalo.edu.
We look forward to your nominations and the second official election of the APQI Community!
Sincerely,
The APQI Nominations Committee
